This is a really cool find. An 1989 Gibson Explorer in Ebony finish with the Original PAT No Pickups and Brown/Pink Case. The guitar sounds epic and has a very comfortable c neck. The finish has already started to show some checking over the years, no cracks. The tuners are replaced for Schallers. The weight is an acceptable 3,9kg.

While Gibson officially switched the Explorer over to a new design in 1983, the original design of the Explorer would still occasionally come out of the factory. Gibson would return to this model as a standard production item in 1990 with the Explorer '76.
