Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Antique Gold -2013- A used 2013 Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Goldtop has just arrived! It was in 2013, the year this model was produced, that key specifications of the current Historic Collection were incorporated, including hide glue construction, the return of aniline-dyed back, a tubular truss rod, and the use of long studs and inserts. The body features a two-piece maple top and a one-piece mahogany back, while the neck is made of solid mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The headstock features the Gibson logo and gLes Paul MODELh silkscreened in addition to Kluson Single Line/Single Ring tuners. The bound neck, featuring angular dish inlays, incorporates a thick, substantial g50s Rounded C-Shapeh neck profile and a tubular truss rod. Hydroglu (animal glue) is used to join the neck and body. It is equipped with two "P-90 Soapbar" pickups, CTS pots, and Bumblebee replica capacitors. The hardware is nickel-plated and includes a non-wired ABR-1 bridge, an aluminum stop tailpiece, and gold-cap knobs. The finish is "Antique Gold," which replicates a slightly sun-faded appearance due to aging, with a natural back. There are numerous scratches and dents from use, but the guitar functions perfectly. There are fret wear marks on strings 1?3 from the 1st to 13th frets; the remaining frets have about 70% of their original material. We have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
