About this listing
Fender Prodigy II with rosewood fretboard in Super Red Metallic, made in the USA in 1991. Serial number N1009945.This is one of Fender’s short-lived early-1990s USA superstrat models. The Prodigy line was produced in the early 1990s and featured an HSS pickup layout, offset/superstrat-style body, bolt-on maple neck, 22 frets, 25.5" scale length, and 12" radius fretboard. The Prodigy II version adds the Kahler Spyder locking tremolo system and locking nut. This guitar has a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, alder body, maple neck, 42 mm nut width, 12" fretboard radius, 648 mm / 25.5" scale length, HSS pickup configuration, 5-way pickup selector, master volume, master tone, black pickguard, black hardware, locking nut, and Kahler Spyder locking tremolo. The bridge humbucker is a Seymour Duncan Trembucker, according to the original professional seller listing and invoice. The guitar was originally bought from Le Shop in Lyon, France. The invoice is shown in the photos. The guitar is in Good used condition. It is fully functional but shows visible wear consistent with its age. There are cosmetic marks, scratches, pickguard wear, back-plate marks, and visible age/wear/oxidation on the Kahler tremolo hardware. Frets were described by the previous professional seller as approximately 80% condition. No visible cracks, breaks, or structural repairs are shown in the photos.Important note regarding odor: when I originally bought this guitar from France, I noticed a smoke smell. I aired the guitar and case out, and the guitar itself is much better now, but in my opinion the case still retains some smoke odor, especially after being kept in storage. This is disclosed clearly so you know what to expect.Includes a Freedom by SKB hard case, shown in the photos. The case has normal external wear but is functional. Please review the photos carefully; they show the actual guitar, serial number, tremolo, pickups, controls, fretboard, headstock, back of body, case, and invoice.ConditionGood used conditionFully functionalVisible cosmetic wear, scratches, and handling marksTremolo hardware shows visible age/wear/oxidationFrets previously described as approx. 80%No visible cracks, breaks, or structural repairs shownSmoke odor disclosure: the case still retains some smoke smell in my opinion Guitar and case have been aired out since purchaseBuyer should be aware of this before purchasingSpecificationsBrand: FenderModel: Prodigy II with Rosewood FretboardYear: 1991Made in: United StatesFinish: Super Red MetallicSerial Number: N1009945Body Type: Solid BodyBody Shape: S-Style / offset superstratBody Material: AlderNeck Material: MapleNeck Construction: Bolt-OnFretboard Material: RosewoodFretboard Radius: 12"Nut Width: 42 mmScale Length: 648 mm / 25.5"Frets: 22Pickup Configuration: HSSBridge Pickup: Seymour Duncan Trembucker, according to original seller/invoiceControls: Master Volume, Master TonePickup Selector: 5-way switchBridge: Kahler Spyder locking tremoloTuners: Die-castHardware Color: BlackWeight: approx. 3.5 kg, according to original sellerRight / Left Handed: Right-HandedIncludedCase: Freedom by SKB hard caseShippingThe guitar will be carefully packed in its hard case with protective packing material inside an outer shipping box included in the item or shipping price.Shipping will be via tracked courier service such as UPS, depending on destination, price, parcel size, and insurance availability.
