Now available on consignment, a 1972 Fender Jazz Bass in its original sunburst finish.This particular example is in good shape overall, featuring a bound fingerboard with block inlays, the CBS style headstock decal, and the tortoiseshell pickguard. The neck dates to of '72. This lines up with the pot dates which are the 48th week of 1972.Nearly all of the original parts remain except for a well executed refret with slightly larger wire at some stage. The original pickups remain, as does the tortoiseshell pickguard which has no cracks. The hardware is all correct for '71 including the bridge, tuners, screws, bridge plate and saddles.This one has been recently setup with round wounds and plays well with a low to medium action and some relief on the neck.A great sounding and playing vintage Fender Jazz Bass, includes its original case and bridge cover.--- Joel's Vintage Guitars is a by appointment vintage & used guitar store located in Sydney, Australia.
