This is a really versatile preamp, that will shine on any source, while giving you the classic API tone. Note, these are the stepped gain version, with the Litz wire transformers, both of which are upgrades to the stock model.By default, we include the extremely popular CA-0252 opamp. In short, get the VP26 if you want the vintage API tone with a full, but controlled low end. The VP25 sounds extremely similar, but with a slightly bigger low end. Get a VP312 if you want a slightly more modern, less colored version of the API preamp.... it retains a little more high end detail than the VP25/26. Get the VP28 for the vintage sound with extra features, and additional gain staging/saturation options.... also great for the 2 buss in line mode.US Shipping is $14 including insurance.
