The Filter Twin’s identical filters sweep in opposite directions for a more organic sound with added nuance. Two filters instead of one create a more vocal, expressive effect. If you’ve ever stacked two delays, reverbs, or drive pedals, then you know the results are magical and musical — and the Filter Twin offers exactly that in just a single pedal. What’s more, the new V2 model reduces the weight and size of the original with pedalboard-friendly results.
The Filter Twin V2’s dual filters are totally independent: one downward-sweeping and one upward. This dual design lets purists tap into single-filter vintage tones if desired, but we recommend tapping into both for extra-juicy tone. Tone tweakers will be glad to know the Filter Twin V2 also offers blend and threshold controls. Blend lets you fully saturate your signal, or you can dial it back for a more subtle effect. Threshold controls dynamic sensitivity. Roll it high for a rapid-onset filter that’s audible with even the lightest touch, or explore more nuanced settings that trigger the effect according to dynamic intensity. With Threshold, Filter Twin makes it easy to dial-in sounds that suit your gear. Whether you play with fingers or a pick — or dirty or clean — there’s a tone for you here.
The Filter Twin V2 delivers the same great tone of the original, but with a revamped look and new chassis. The V2 chassis is significantly lighter than the original, which makes a huge difference if you’re like other bassists who have more than one Aguilar device on their pedalboard.
