Video: Our Favorite Drum Accessories of 2022

While other instruments get various effects pedals and mods for switching up their tones, drummers can turn to a slew of excellent accessories for everything from making their drum sets easier to manage to changing the sound of the snare. In the video above, Jessica Bordeaux is taking a closer look at several of our favorites of 2022 so far.

The biggest highlight is the new dB One head and cymbal system from Evans. With these shockweave heads installed on your acoustic drums, players can maintain the feel of their normal kit at just 20% of its normal volume. The low-noise cymbals also make for very realistic but quiet practice. This is a great option for any players who need to keep the sound low.

Jessica also showed off some other tools that can be used to change or dampen the sound of the drum set, like various drum heads from Big Fat Snare Drum. The Cow Moo and The Sherpa—two that Jessica shows off in the video—sound great and secure to your drums via a convenient magnet.

Also featured in the video are a few other handy wallet-alternatives for muting, several different kick beaters that will all give you a unique sound, as well as a tool that makes quick-changing beaters a breeze. Be sure to check out the video above for the full breakdown of the best drum accessories of 2022 so far.
