Video: Norman Harris Shows Off 5 Rare Guitars from His Legendary Shop

As one of the leading vintage guitar dealers in the world, the inventory at Norman's Rare Guitars is really something to behold.

There are two fortunate events to report—the first is that the preeminent dealer has just listed a great selection of vintage guitars on the Norman's Rare Guitars Reverb Shop, and the second is that the shop's namesake, Norman Harris, sat down with us to show off part of his collection and share stories from a life spent slinging axes.

"...this thing sounds and plays as good as any Stratocaster you're ever going to play."

First up is a 1958 Fender Stratocaster that Norman says "is not only in beautiful shape, but this thing sounds and plays as good as any Stratocaster you're ever going to play." It has a three-tone sunburst finish and a slightly thinner neck than Strats of previous years.

Next, Norman shows off a mid-'30s Larson Brothers Euphonon Jumbo, a mail-order jumbo that pre-dates other jumbos like the J-200, complete with a huge pickguard and pearl binding.

Be sure to watch the full video to see more of his incredible inventory—including a Stromberg archtop that is of truly impeccable craftsmanship—and hear tales about supplying Hollywood films with guitars. Then, head to Norman's Rare Guitars Reverb Shop to see all he has to offer on Reverb.
