Joe from Reverb stopped by to demo the new Expression Series Overdrive and Ambient Delay from Ernie Ball. Being foot-sweepable pedals, they offer the kind of precision that you just can't get with traditional stompboxes.
The Expression Overdrive is equipped with three controls: drive, boost, and tone. The pedal is completely bypassed with your heel totally down, so you're able to inch in as much or as little drive as you'd like to achieve anything from a totally clean tone to a screaming lead.
The Expression Series Ambient Delay features controls for reverb, feedback, and time with an extra input for tap tempo. The pedal controls the mix between the reverb and the delay, and one of the coolest things about the Expression Series Ambient Delay is that it can be used as a straight expression reverb if time and feedback are turned all of the way off. The delay time ranges from 50 milliseconds all the way to a fully droning 750 milliseconds.
Stick around for the end of the Ambient Delay video to see Joe play with both pedals in tandem.
