The first time we met Declan McKenna, back in 2019, a few of us accompanied him to Chicago Music Exchange, where he found a sparkly custom Telecaster that's been with him ever since.
In August this year, back in town for what turned out to be a triumphant show at Lollapalooza, Declan had a bunch more gear in tow.
A lawsuit SG he chanced upon, a couple of must-have Judders, a strange Ovation electric, a red Hofner violin bass, a vintage Bassman, an UDO Audio Super 6… these were just some of the highlights.
Ahead of a new leg of his US tour, which kicks off September 27—find all the dates at his website—he talked us through his wonderful live setup.
