Video: Checking Out the New Walrus Audio Lore Soundscape Generator | NAMM 2022

New for NAMM 2022, Walrus Audio has unveiled a new pedal called the Lore. This pedal is a unique "soundscape generator" from which players can conjure a whole slew of ambient and modulated sounds.

The Lore is based around two DSP chips running in series, each with their own analog feedback path. Players can choose between five different programs that adjust how the chips interact with each other and what kinds of sounds they can make. Those programs include:

  • Reverse Delay into Reverse Reverb.
  • Reverse Delay into Octave Up Reverb.
  • Reverse Delay into Octave Down Reverb.
  • Reverse Reverb into Forward Reverb.
  • Pitch Delay into Pitch Delay.

The Lore also features tap tempo and if players hold down the button, it will momentarily shift the clock rate of the pedal up or down and will hold at that rate for as long as you keep holding the button down. There's also a modulation knob that lets players adjust how much modulation is applied to the wet signal at any given time.
