PRS and Johns Hopkins to Sell Limited-Edition Joe Walsh Guitar to Benefit Cancer Care

PRS Guitars has partnered with The Eagles’ Joe Walsh to sell limited-edition Eagles memorabilia and a limited-edition PRS from the rock 'n' roll legend’s personal collection, with the proceeds going to The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. The items include a PRS McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition—built for Walsh himself—a handwritten authentication letter, and a History of The Eagles boxset.

The guitar and other items will be available for sale this Thursday, July 8, at 7 pm EST in the PRS Guitars for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center Reverb Shop. The sale of the instrument will coincide with the company's Experience PRS virtual event, which you can watch on the PRS Guitars YouTube channel.

Walsh's signature PRS is hard to come by; announced in April 2021, the company only built 200. This is not only your chance to own one of these limited guitars but also to receive a hand-penned letter from Walsh authenticating the guitar from his "personal collection." The guitar is hand-signed by Paul Reed Smith on the headstock and by Walsh on the guitar's backplate.

The sale of McCarty 594 will also include Joe Walsh's personally-owned History of The Eagles Super Deluxe Limited Edition Boxset, #3284/5000. The set includes three Blu-Ray discs featuring four hours of never-before-seen material from the past 40 years, as well as a 40-page bound book and 10 archival photos from the band's history.

PRS has raised more than $3 million for The John Hopkins Kimmel Center's Living with Cancer Resource Program since 2010. As part of these ongoing efforts to raise money for the Kimmel Center, PRS and Hopkins sold one of John Mayer's "Super Eagle" Prototypes on Reverb in 2018.

The Kimmel Center program provides emotional support, assistance with housing and transportation, financial aid, and legal guidance to cancer patients and their families free of charge.

The McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition and Eagles memorabilia will be up for sale this Thursday, July 8 at 7 pm EST, in PRS Guitars for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center Reverb Shop. If you're interested in buying the guitar, visit the shop right at 7 pm (or even a few minutes early) so that you don't miss your chance.
