Peavey Revitalizes USA–Made HP Series Guitar at SNAMM 2017

Peavey HP2

It’s been almost eight years since we’ve seen another installment in Peavey’s USA–made HP line of guitars, but the day has finally come.

This weekend, Peavy is introducing the HP2 to the public down in Nashville at this year’s Summer NAMM. Aesthetically, it’s a banger, featuring an asymmetrical offset maple body (or basswood, if you prefer it) with a carved top. The bolt–on neck and matching fingerboard are also made of maple.

The HP2 is outfitted with custom–wound Peavey humbucking pickups. Peavey claims that its process crafting these pickups — a two–step, wax–dipping process — means that the pickups are specifically engineered to resist microphonic feedback and operate at ultra–low noise.
