Official Sunn O))) Shop Adds Stash of Pedals, Amps

When it comes to pummeling heads with ferocious, dimed-out fuzz and gut-busting drones, few do it better than the power ambient pioneers Sunn O))).

From their founding in 1998 to their 2014 collaboration with the outré art rock legend Scott Walker, the doom drone outfit started by Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson have made some of the most powerfully dark music of the last two decades.

To accomplish this feat, Sunn O)))—having named themselves after the Sunn amplifiers capable of handling their prodigiously loud volumes—use an arsenal of boosts, drive, and fuzz pedals. If you’ve ever wanted to match such power and fury, you’re now in luck, as Sunn O)))’s Greg Anderson is releasing more of his gear right here on Reverb.

"Stoked to have some of my personal gear used with Sunn O))) and Goatsnake, etc., available via Reverb," Greg says. "I was recently cleaning up my cave and found a lot of killer gear that wasn’t getting the love it deserved. My hope is that these weapons get put into battle where they belong."

For their namesake amps and pedals sure to spark nightmares, check out our favorite new listings from the dark lords' own shop.

Sunn 2000s

This is a predecessor to the Sunn Model T, used on Sunn O)))’s Oracle. The amp is capable of handling crushing volumes and the heavy load of a line of gain-heavy pedals. It also holds the distinction of being serviced by Sunn O))) band member and amp guru TOS.

Sunn Beta Bass Head

While currently not functioning, you can scoop up this Sunn Beta Bass used, of course, by Sunn O))), but also Stephen and Greg’s previous band Thorr’s Hammer and other "severe battles," according to Greg. He continues, "This will either make a killer, heavy as fuck amp for someone, or you could use it as cool one of a kind sunn O))) decoration in your cave-man cave."

Monolith Tectonic Shift

The Monolith Tectonic Shift is two classic fuzz pedals in one chassis: the left is a Super Fuzz circuit, while the right is a green Russian Muff circuit. According to Greg, "We tried it out in the studio/rehearsal a few times and were able to get some extremely fuzzy earthquake-inducing tones from it. It’s time for this to help someone else decimate some bowels with it."

Pro Tone Low Gear

The Pro Tone Low Gear is a clean boost pedal for basses, modelled after the Electro-Harmonix Hogs Foot. This particular pedal went on numerous tours with Sunn O))). As Greg says, "It looks like it’s been through a war (it has). … But if you want to literally shake the foundation, please consider this tool for your arsenal."
