Formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998, My Morning Jacket quickly amassed an international following with their debut record, The Tennessee Fire (1999). Their second album, At Dawn, was released two years later, launching the band into wider success in the States that only continued to grow with subsequent releases and steady touring throughout the 2000s.
MMJ has continued to grow and experiment with their sound, evolving from record to record and remaining known for their engaging live shows. After a bit of a break, during which the band worked on their own individual side projects, they came back together for their ninth record, My Morning Jacket, which was released in 2021.
Over the last two-plus decades, MMJ has amassed a ton of excellent gear—and much of it is now ready for a new home. The Official My Morning Jacket Reverb Shop is open as of today, giving fans the opportunity to pick up over 20 pieces of gear that the band has used on stage and in the studio.
In the shop, you'll find unconventional guitars like a Gretsch 7608 Broadkaster, Magnatone Mark V, and Marlen 10-string pedal steel alongside more classic options like a Gibson ES-335. Acoustic guitars also abound in this shop, including a gorgeous vintage Martin C-1 from 1933 that was used on MMJ's self-titled record as well as Jim James' Uniform Clarity.
MMJ is also parting with an excellent selection of classic pedals. Fans can pick up a ZVEX Box of Rock, Catalinbread Topanga, JHS Colour Box V1, and more.
One of the most interesting pieces in the shop is a Yamaha CP-70 that was played by Roger Waters on stage at Newport Folk Fest, marking the first time Waters had played piano on stage. This CP-70 is extra special because it's been fitted with a custom MIDI controller.

- A Kay L8389 Highstrung (Nashville Tuning) that was used to record Jim James' record Eternally Even, as well as played on stage at various JJ live shows.
- An Oscar Schmidt Zither used for various sound effects on some of JJ's solo albums.

- Some pro-audio pieces, like a Urei Universal Audio 1176LN Rev C and 1176LN Rev F limiting amps.
