Third Man Hardware is back with another inventive collaboration, this time teaming up with Black Mountain to create the Roto Echo, a rugged new delay pedal that brings a hands-free twist to time-based effects.
Instead of leaning down to tweak knobs, the Roto-Echo introduces Black Mountain’s Freewheel Technology—a built-in roller wheel that players control with their feet in real time. A three-way selector switch lets you assign the wheel to Time, Feedback, or Blend, meaning you can warp delay trails, ride oscillation, or morph between dry and wet signals without ever taking your hands off the guitar.
The pedal delivers analog-style echoes ranging from tight slapback to lush repeats pushing 600ms, with all the warm, slightly gritty artifacts you’d expect from its PT2399 chip. And because it’s built to handle full body weight, players can stomp, sweep, and lean in with confidence whether sitting or standing.
The Roto Echo is available now in standard black as well as in a limited-edition yellow enclosure, right here on Reverb.
