Ernie Ball Music Man Announces New Family Reserve Guitars

Today, Ernie Ball Music Man announced the release of a new limited-production Ball Family Reserve guitars.

This line currently features three familiar models (the Valentine, Majesty, and Axis Super Sport) crafted with rare tonewoods, exclusive finishes, and special appointments.

According to the Ernie Ball Music Man website, these guitars “are offered in limited production runs and allow us to present instruments to the public that were previously reserved for family and our loyal artists.”

The double-cutaway Valentine comes in a crisp Ivory white with a gold anodized pickguard, gold hardware, and a bound roasted maple neck with matching white binding. Production will be limited to 89 pieces.

Majesty in Claro Walnut

Combining two finishes on one model, the Petrucci-designed Majesty gets reimagined with a glossy Claro Walnut body, matte satin backing, and a flamed Claro Walnut “shield” to contrast the gloss finish. Production will be limited to 39 pieces.

Axis Super Sport in Trans Light Black

Perhaps the most eye-catching of the three models, this Axis Super Sport comes sporting a lustrous quilted maple top, figured wenge wood neck/headstock, and white binding applied by hand. Production will be limited to 26 pieces.
