Dunlop Drops Pedals for Hendrix, Gary Clark Jr., and Dimebag Darrell | SNAMM 2019

Fender isn't the only company releasing pedals in batches of six at Summer NAMM this year. Today, Dunlop has unveiled a cache of its own new pedal: four Authentic Hendrix mini pedals and two signature Cry Baby Wah pedals for two very different kinds of players.

First up are the four new mini pedals from the Authentic Hendrix '69 Psych Series. This series will delight Hendrix effect users tight on pedalboard space, as it sees four classic Hendrix pedal designs slimmed down into exceedingly pedalboard-friendly enclosures. Not only that, but the chassis themselves are super unique, all featuring gorgeous Jimi Hendrix-inspired kaleidoscopic designs by the UK-based ILOVEDUST.

Included in the new mini pedal series are popular Hendrix circuits like the Fuzz Face Distortion, Octavio Fuzz, Uni-Vibe, and Band of Gypsys Fuzz.

Also new from Dunlop are two brand-new signature Cry Baby Wah pedals for two artists: blues player Gary Clark Jr. and Dimebag Darrell, metal guitarist and co-founder of the metal band Pantera.

The new Gary Clark Jr. Cry Baby Wah sees a modified version of the classic circuit that suits a lower frequency range with a tighter sweep. This modification will specifically serve the percussive grooves of a blues player in the vein of its namesake.

Meanwhile, according to Dunlop, the Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell Wah is the brand's "most versatile wah in our line up." To suit players who need a lot of flexibility on stage, this wah features an extended sweep range, a six-way frequency selector, and a switchable boost.

All six of these pedals are scheduled to hit the streets sometime in September of this year, so keep your eyes out for more about when you can get your own right here on Reverb.
