This 2020 Gibson Les Paul Classic is all original and in near-mint condition. Loaded with the original Gibson Rhythm 61 and Lead 61 pickups, reading 7.82k at both positions. The Transparent Cherry finish shows the figured top clearly. The slim-taper 60s-style neck profile measures 1-11/16" wide nut. Action is set at 2/32" on both E strings at the 12th fret — low and even.The Les Paul Classic was introduced in 1990 as Gibson's explicitly retro-spec Les Paul, built to approximate the late-1950s and early-1960s construction details that vintage buyers had been chasing for decades. Key period-correct features on this example include the open-coil 'zebra' humbuckers with PAF stickers trapezoid inlays, bone nut, Grover Rotomatic tuners marked N W 69, and an ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge. The Classic occupied an interesting market position: more affordable than a Standard but deliberately more vintage-faithful in several construction details, particularly the pickups and neck shape.We see no repairs on this instrument. All original parts are intact: finish, pickguard, tuners, nut, bridge, saddles, tailpiece, switch, pickups, wiring, solder joints, pots (CTS), control cavity cover, output jack, and knobs.
