We are selling this rare Casio Rapman (Japan, 1990s) keyboard/synth with hip hop rhythms and great voice pitch effect.

It’s fully working and in very good cosmetic condition for its age, with some minor signs of wear. The white keys show very faint traces of old stickers, visible only under certain lighting conditions (mainly when viewed against the light). This is not noticeable in normal use or standard photographs, so we also included a backlit photo to document it as accurately as possible. Aside from this minor cosmetic detail, the key action is perfect and the keyboard is in excellent overall cosmetic condition. It comes with a brand-new micro microphone, required for the voice effector and vocoder functions.

This 32-key keyboard/synth offers:

• 25 preset tones, including piano, brass, horns, guitar and sound effects;

• 30 Rap patterns, including rap, rock, house and more;

• 1 scratch disk that gives you control of up to four different scratch sounds by turning it with your hand

• 3 effect pads - three buttons on the console that give you one-touch access to a selection of exciting sound effects.

One of the best features of the Rapman is the Voice Effector function: this changes the pitch of the sound being input through the microphone (included!).

Quite interesting for experimental musicians because effector and great trick - putting mic on speaker and creating bizarre noises with pitch shifted feedback. Also good for external effects (try to connect a guitar inside) or circuit bending.

The on-board speaker is powerful enough for home use, but there's an 1/8" output too, for when you need to kick it up a notch.

It operates on batteries or with a 7.5 Volt negative center AC adapter (batteries/adapter not included!). We recommend using it with batteries because all compatible power supplies are always a bit noisy in all the Rapman units.
