2011 PRS SC58 – Very Early Artist Grade Example – Session Musician Provenance
Offered for sale is an exceptional early 2011 PRS SC58, serial number 168768, finished in McCarty Tobacco Burst.
The guitar was acquired directly from a well-known US session musician and PRS endorser, making its provenance one of the most interesting aspects of this particular instrument.
It comes from the very early period of the SC58 model and features a particularly high specification, including a figured Maple Artist Grade top, 57/08 pickups, Modern Eagle II bird inlays, the dedicated PRS two-piece bridge developed specifically for the SC58, and the original PRS Paisley Multi-Fit case.
Having owned and played many high-end guitars over the years, this one has always stood out. It is exceptionally resonant, open and dynamic, with a strong fundamental note, rich harmonic content and superb note separation.
A trusted luthier and several experienced musician friends who have seen the guitar independently commented on the same thing — this is an unusually fine-sounding and exceptionally high-quality example.
