Rotosound RFB1 Fuzz, unit number 515 of only 2000 pedals produced for the original limited-edition reissue. This particular example is dated 19 November 2012. I bought it in Osaka, Japan, during this summer and brought it back home with me.
Handmade in England, the RFB1 faithfully recreates Rotosound’s exceptionally rare late-1960s fuzz pedal. It uses genuine germanium transistors and the original-style circuit configuration, delivering a warm, rich and characterful British fuzz sound with plenty of sustain.
Its three controls—Fuzz, Treble and Volume—cover everything from mild vintage crunch to thick, saturated and aggressive fuzz. It also features true-bypass switching and a distinctive hammered-metal enclosure inspired by the original pedal.
The pedal is in mint condition and has been exceptionally well preserved. It comes complete with its original box and all the original paperwork, making it a particularly desirable example for collectors.
A rare and collectible early Rotosound reissue, individually numbered 515 of 2000 and dated 19 November 2012.
