Ampeg B-18N Portaflex 2-Channel 50-Watt 1x18" Fliptop Bass Combo 1963 - 1967 - Blue
I'm selling this beautiful 1965 Ampeg B-18N.
The amp has been professionally serviced and it sounds as glorious as it looks, this amp is 100% original, it runs natively on 230V being a Europe export model. Electrolytic caps have been changed mantaining it's original look, the original cap-can has been replace with an identical one from CE manufacturing and the "firecracker cap" has been replaced with two F&T caps using the shell of the old one as covering for the new ones, vintage look of the circuit is 100% preserved. Death cap and polarity switch have been disconnected from the circuit and a 3 way prong with earth connection has been installed letting you play the amp safely.
pre-amp tubes have been changed with 2 new Tung-Sol tubes, power tubes , phase inverter and rectifier tube are the original vintage ones, they have been tested with a Hickock TV-7 tube tester and they have perfect emission and no noise.
The speaker it's its original 18' speaker, it is in pristine conditions. It's ready to rock another 60 years.
As you can see the look is fantastic, the amp was bought from the original owner and it's been kept in perfect conditions. The stickers on the transformers have been applied by the original owner in the '60s and they can be removed if the buyer don't like them.
