• Case: Includes Bow and Eastman hardshell case in great shape; the latches, wheels and handles all function as expected, and the insides are nice and clean. The outside shell has some scratches along the lid, but nothing that would hinder the case's ability to protect the cello in transit!
• Condition: This is one gorgeous Cello! There are a handful of light signs of handling throughout, none of which I would describe as egregious. The bridge looks good and the micro tuners function well. No notable wear in the usual spots like the heel. The backside has a blemish in the wood finish that appears to be a sun spot where there was once some sticker or label, but this is very easy to miss without specifically looking. When glancing inside I noticed the soundpost is secure, but also there are several preventative cleats along the backside's seam. We all took turns inspecting this cello are we are convinced this is NOT a repair; the back seems solid and doesn't appear to have ever been cracked/repaired, so I am calling these "preventative cleats." The scroll and pegbox look good and the tuners fit snugly. This Cello sounds good and plays comfortably! As with any used instrument, it is possible I may have missed something during my inspection, as such we recommend carefully reviewing all photos before purchase.
