Who needs that pesky bridge pickup anyway? That's what Wes Montgomery was onto back in the 60's when he acquired his L-5 with a single neck humbucker. Made as an homage to that guitar, we present this 2014 Gibson L-5 Wes Montgomery model in a very tasteful sunburst finish. Known as the ultimate jazzbox, this unique L-5 model is special for its single pickup in the neck position, as well as all solid wood construction including a carved spruce top and solid maple back and sides. This example has a well repaired headstock crack so we have priced it accordingly, perfect for the gigging jazz player who can feel comfortable bringing this around town. Signed by James D.
