1927-1928 Gibson L-4 sunburst
serial #85564 which dates to 1928 but oval soundhole supposedly ended in 1927 so most likely late 1927 transitional guitar
Weight: 4 LBS 11 OZ
frets and neck are very good
good neck angle
neck is straight and plays great
Neck shape: 1.75 " nut width, very chunky C shape with a very slight V hump at the 1st and second fret .
the sunburst finish does show some unknown weird stains in the finish
serial number is easy to read on the label but model number is not legible so I am going by specs to ID this
modern pickup added to the bridge
truss rod cover missing
not sure of originality of the bridge and tail piece
finish looks original
some binding has repairs
great players guitar, not a museum guitar has had some work done so not 100% original
with case as shown
