Rogers 16" x 16" Holiday Floor Tom 1957 - Black Diamond Pearl

I'm finally letting my Rogers go - this was gifted to me... 10 or 11 years ago By all drum forums / docs i can find, this Serial puts the drum firmly in 1957, or possibly the first half of 1958.

I don't know a lot about it, in fact I've never even had the bottom head off... as it already sounds great as it is (heads are 'weather king' labeled coated Emperor and Ambassador, and I've never felt compelled to change them - and I have gigged this drum a number of times, across Country/Alt-Country and ... even a couple heavier gigs in some bigger rooms, in Brooklyn. it's never let me down, but it's just a lonely drum with a mismatched 70s Black Diamond Pearl Ludwig kick I have (which will also be listed soon).

What I can tell you about it is that it is, in fact, a 68 or 9 year-old drum, and it has many little scratches/imperfections, all of which are real hard to catch on camera, which IS one of the good things about this wrap, but ...is hard to show. in the final pics you can see some superficial scratches to the left of the chrome Rogers badge, which are indicative of the kind of thing you'll find on this drum. I didn't photograph all the lugs or floor tom brackets - they're all shiny, but show predictable age/pitting, as do the rims, which are, as far as i know, original.

Additionally one of these Swiv-o-Matic floor tom brackets is a little TOO swiv-o-matic, and in the last two pics, you can see that it has a range of about 5-10 degrees to the left and right of center -- but even in fairly lively gigs, I've never felt/observed it wiggle when in use. Includes the original hex-legs.
