Pretty darn nice cosmetic condition on this one. Clean, no real scratches to speak of.

Keybed has been replaced with modern parts from Super Synth Projects in the UK — super nice guy and great engineer. The modern flex board in this is a lot better than the one Roland shipped it with.

Two prong power jack has been replaced with a modern three prong jack because… honestly who needs to keep those weird two prong cords around.

Working great and sounds like the 1990s felt— the pinnacle of a certain way of living. I miss it. If you do too, maybe grab a JD-800 and microdose the decade of blissful global international optimism. Ahhh, damn it was fun. Anyway any questions drop me a line.

A note on shipping:

I’ve had a couple of these over the years. The plastic end caps are engineered in such a way as they are just extremely likely to break during shipping. Maybe they only break a little, maybe they break a lot, but it’s reallllllly common.

The end caps on this one are structurally minty and undisturbed to the point where I really hesitate to ship this out. If you REALLY want me to ship this specific JD, send me a message and we can chat. But basically I’m not going to ship it unless you’re willing to spend like 200$ or something so I can get an utterly hugely oversized box and dedicate an entire roll of bubble wrap to its safety. I really don’t see JD-800s with such nice end caps very often and it’s not like theyre making any more of them (alas).
