Pearl Flutes, a Japanese manufacturer of high-quality flutes, is less known here in Canada, but very popular in Europe. The PF-665 is the entry-level model with a standard sterling silver headjoint. It has little resistance and is easy to play, making it an ideal flute for beginners who wish to progress quickly. The rest of the flute is silver-plated. It has closed holes, offset G, and keys with French pointed arms. The mechanism is pinless, meaning it has no pins, using an internal sleeve system similar to professional flutes. Keywork is delicate and precise, reminiscent of more expensive semi-professional flutes.
This particular flute was manufactured in the early 2000s but has been moderately used by a single owner who took good care of it. It is cosmetically in very good condition, with signs of wear such as small dings, some surface scratches, and scuff marks. The pads are in very good condition with still lots of life left to them. Sold with a Pearl wooden case and a generic gig bag.
