Built in 1998 ahead of the 1999 launch of Fender’s Classic Series line. This guitar is in very good condition with only light signs of use throughout. There are no major dents, paint chips, or noticeable cosmetic defects.

The frets have approximately 80% life remaining at the lowest point. These came from the factory with vintage-style frets and still have plenty of life left.

This neck has one of the best naturally aged poly finishes I have ever seen on a Mexican Strat. It looks and feels 10x better than anything Fender Mexico is putting out today. In 1998, Fender Mexico needed to deliver something comparable to the Made in Japan reissues that were being phased out, and these early Classic Series guitars reflect that. The tuners are substantially better than what comes on the Vintera Series, and so is the neck profile and overall feel.
