The most recorded snare drum of all time, the 60's Ludwig LM400 Supraphonic with keystone badge and white felt baseball bat muffler.

SN# 220290 which places its production date at some time in the late summer of 1965.

I just had it re-chromed, by the same chrome shop that did the chrome for Ayotte drums, and it is super shiny. The chrome on the inside of the drum is not shiny like the original chrome job was, it has instead a pleasant frosted finish.

The shell is essentially perfect, the lugs have a tiny amount of micro-pitting here and there, the top hoop has a chip in it, see closeup photo. It looks like the bottom hoop may not be original (?), see the oval snare hole. The hoop shape matches the top.

The badge was re-installed after the chrome job with a modern grommet and spacer, see photo.

It comes with a lightly used Remo Controlled Dot top head, and a nearly new Remo snare side head, as well as what I think may just be original 1960's Ludwig snare wires. Unfortunately one of the snare wire has broken off, but they still sound pretty good. Cool to have them with the snare.
