Up for your consideration is my beloved and supercool 2003, black, double fat, hardtail, Fender American Strat. I really only play my acoustics anymore so I am selling off my electrics as they are just sitting unplayed in their cases in the closet. I've had it since 2014 and to the best of my knowledge I am the 2nd owner. It started its life with 2 Fender Humbucker pickups, chrome hardware and the ugliest pearloid pickguard in the history of earth. The Humbuckers always sounded muddy to me so I swapped them out for a set of TV Jones/Brian Setzer signature pickups. I accidently ordered gold pickups instead of chrome so I swapped out all the hardware for gold (with excellent results!) and added the black 3 ply pickguard. The turners are Fender locking and the hardtail bridge is Gotoh. The rest of the hardware is all generic. It comes with the pictured Fender hardshell tweed case and I will include a strap, a cable and some cleaning stuff. I have none of the original case candy.

  • Looks: Supercool! Break this out at your local blues jam and all the women will want you and all the men will want to be you.
  • Condition: This guitar was my #1 for a very long time. Even though it has been well played it's been well loved and never abused. It has a few very minor cosmetic dings you'd expect from a 23 year old guitar although you'd have to look hard to see them. Overall it is amazingly clean and in excellent condition.
  • Tone: I love these TV Jones pickups. Select the neck pickup and roll back the tone and you get a nice fat sound. Select the bridge pickup and roll on the tone and you get a much brighter sound...and you can mix and match to get everything in between. They're very versatile in my opinion. The rosewood fingerboard has a naturally warmer tone than a maple fingerboard.
  • Playability: This is by far the best playing electric I've ever had...and I have had (way too) many.

So there you have it. My loss, your gain, blah blah blah. I will consider serious offers and I'm happy to provide any additional info you need and I can send as many additional pics as you'd like.
