Custom Built Telecaster - Lollar Pickups / Musikraft / Fender American Standard

If you’re looking for a Telecaster that combines modern Fender quality with premium boutique upgrades, this custom-built example absolutely delivers. Built around a genuine 2016 Fender American Standard body in classic Black, it features the original American Standard bridge, control plate, and Fender S-1 wiring harness, creating the perfect foundation for an outstanding player’s guitar. Cosmetic condition is very good, showing only light surface scratches on the top and back from honest use. As anyone who has owned a black guitar knows, the finish tends to showcase every little swirl and scuff, but nothing here detracts from its appearance or performance.

The electronics have been elevated with an incredible set of Lollar pickups, featuring a J-Street in the bridge and a Royal T in the neck. Together they deliver everything you want from a great Tele—plenty of classic twang and snap, balanced by exceptional warmth, clarity, and dynamic response. The original Fender neck developed truss rod issues and was replaced with a superb Musikraft rock maple neck featuring their sought-after Fat carve. It sports a comfortable 10” radius, vintage-spec stainless steel frets, a hand-carved bone nut, and Fender vintage-style tuners. The neck has been lightly reliced, while the back has been hand-sanded and finished with Tru-Oil and Gunstock Wax using the same technique employed by Nash Guitars, resulting in an incredibly smooth, broken-in feel that makes it difficult to put down.

Weighing in at a comfortable 7 lbs. 7 oz., this Tele is exceptionally resonant, perfectly balanced, and set up to play effortlessly with low action and excellent intonation across the entire fretboard. Whether you’re gigging, recording, or simply searching for a Telecaster that feels like an old friend from the first chord, this one delivers in every way. It includes a very nice Fender tweed hardshell case in excellent condition, and is set up and ready to go straight out of the case.
