Up for sale is a Gibson classic (and thank you DG). It’s a 1967 Trini Lopez Standard Cherry Red. I purchased this guitar new in 1967 and played it until the late 80‘s. This is the one I learned to play on. It has a few dings and the frets have been replaced, but it’s in great shape otherwise and the action is fantastic! No major problems and to the best of my knowledge everything is original except the truss rod cover screws and the frets.
Things you should know:
Has witch hat volume and tone controls. The VOL on the volume knobs has been washed away from continued use.
No neck breaks or cracks.
Weather checking in places
Original wood TL insignia on tailpiece
Finish on one side of bridge is chipped
Small dings on back and headstock
Original Kluson tuners
Thin C shaped neck
Small brown spot between pickups, probably a small drop of Alien blood from Deck 2.
Original pickups and a few rusty screws
No original case, but a strong, snug hard shell case included.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.
This is a beautiful one-owner classic that is in great shape and plays like a dream!
