If you'd like to own a piece of acoustic guitar history, courtesy of a Kalamazoo Gal, read on. Lovely vintage Banner Gibson LG-2 in good playing condition with extreme mojo. This is a player-grade instrument, to be sure, with multiple repaired top cracks, refinish, and priced accordingly, but it plays and sounds great. Spruce top, mahogany back/sides. Super light construction, dry, woody voice, and that early 40's resonance you just don't find in modern instruments. There is the classic mid-range punch and singing trebles typical of these parlor-sized Gibsons that make them hard to put down. As is also not uncommon for guitars of this period, there is no FON or serial number. Frets in good shape. Not a lot of saddle to lower, but action feels good to my finger-style playing. The back and sides appear crack free. There is a passive internal pickup in good working order (external preamp required). Non-original case in good condition. Reluctantly parting with this diamond-in-the-rough.
