This is my lovely 1966 'black face' Fender Vibrolux Reverb Amp. I loved Jeff Buckley's tones on 'Grace'-- clean, tight, punchy yet ancient and deep, seeming to emphasize the emotion of the guitar parts. I went through a few vintage Vibroluxes, finally finding this one that really sings beautifully whenever called upon.
I have always kept this amp in serviced proper spec and I love all original gear. So this amp has lived a priveledged recording studio life for almost 30 years. Always great vintage tubes biased right by my superb amp tech. The tubes come with the amp. Currently has GE 6L6s, preamps are all vintage- I see Ampex, RCA, black plates, long plates-- all great stuff. Rectifier tube looks like a Sovtek.
All the transformers are original early 66 dates. Original early 66 Jensen 10" speakers. Original grill cloth. Everything crucial is original.
Not originals- handles on sides, wheels(?).
I've shipped lots of amps and know how to do it right. You'll be in great hands. I'll drive a few hours if you're anywhere near Detroit. Pickups welcome too.
