Gorgeous 1922 Buescher True Tone trumpet, made in Elkhart, Indiana. This is an early, pre-Depression, pre-Selmer-buyout True Tone — the era collectors and players regard as Buescher’s best build quality. Nickel-plated valve casings and slides paired with a hand-engraved brass bell in classic Art Nouveau floral scrollwork. “TRUE TONE” trademark stamped on the 2nd valve casing, LP (low pitch) bore stamp on the valve block, serial 92918.
Recent service:
• Chemically cleaned (ultrasonic)
• New valve springs installed
• Light polish on nickel and brass
• Valves are fast, quiet, and have excellent compression — no air leaks, blows freely
• Slides move smoothly throughout Plays great — tested and confirmed a good, responsive player throughout the range. No major dents; light case-wear typical of a century-old horn (see photos).
Includes:
• Original Buescher hard case (Elkhart, Ind. badge intact) — honest age wear, fully functional
• Original mouthpiece
A genuine piece of 1920s American brass history — serviced, checked, and ready to play.
