Epic U87 that sounds so damn good, and comes with a certified dent in the grill, mount, and carrying case (aftermarket). You're more than welcome to give it a listen in my studio if desired and in Michigan (Detroit).

Why I've priced this mic near the top of the resale market is as follows:

They say U87 mics are made different and some sound better than others. I've been producing / recoding music for about 17 years and decided to go in on nicer mic, so I purchased this from guitar center and was absolutely in love with the sound, but was hesitant because of the dent (as shown). Having been my first big mic purchase and wanting it to be perfect, I returned it and purchased another used U87 assuming it would sound the same.

Upon listening I was very displeased as it didn't have the same wow factor as this one did. So I returned that one and bought a brand new U87 despite the extra money, just so there would be no guessing at the quality (or so i thought).

The new mic sounded absolutely horrible compared to this one, so after realizing what a diamond in the rough I had found, I tracked down this mic at guitar center, even though it was not listed, and snagged it right away because the sound compared to the others was just unbelievable.

That was years ago and now times have changed and money is tight so it's time to say goodbye. The outside and inside of this mic have so much character and I would bet money you wont find a newer (last 15 years) U87 Ai that sounds as sweet as this one does, which is why i've priced it near the top of the used market
