This example is one of most historically significant Hiwatt amplifiers we have ever had the privilege of including in our inventory and has to be one of the earliest surviving Hiwatt 100 amplifiers that we know of.

The amp itself is one of the most sought-after British amps ever made. Built during Hiwatt's golden era, this amp delivers the legendary clean headroom, punch and dynamic response that made these amplifiers a favourite of countless professional players. This is partly down to the original Partridge transformers along with the Mustard caps etc.

What makes this amp even more special is the fact that it was assembled and hand-wired by Dave Reeves himself. His original factory/service markings are still present on the chassis.

The amp has the unmistakable hand-wired construction and military-grade build quality that Hiwatt became famous for and what all players have come to love, and it certainly produces everything we would expect it to from crystal-clear cleans to powerful, articulate overdrive when pushed. Thus making it equally at home for vintage rock, blues and modern pedal-based rigs.

This is an outstanding opportunity to own a true piece of amplifier history. Original late-'60s Hiwatts are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly examples like this that have been well cared for throughout the decades.

The amp is all original with the exception of replaced valves, some replaced potentiometers and electrolytic capacitors. It is fully working and really does sound as great as it looks having been recently serviced.
