Gibson RB-00 1939, Original 5-String Banjo

For sale is a Gibson RB-00 Banjo in very good condition. This is a very rare, original pre-war five string Gibson banjo, unlike the far more common conversion tenor banjos from the period. Original amber tuner buttons unique to 1939. Original finish. All hardware is original and present, except for an older replacement 5th string nut, the bridge (a modern replacement), and the modern head to replace the long gone original skin head. There are small holes drilled through the headstock long ago, supposedly to hold a strap. The banjo plays great everywhere on the neck. The instrument has some scuffs and wear spots from normal use. The banjo comes in a more recent hardshell case, and is currently strung with standard light-gauge strings.
