This is a fantastic banjo completed by Greg Galbreth of Buckeye Banjos earlier this year and regretfully I am forced to part with it for financial reasons. It is worth noting that this is a 5+1 banjo, it is your usual 5 string banjo plus an extra low string that I usually tune to G, however the options are limitless. This was made in the manner of a presentation banjo. The rim and neck are made of exceptionally dark walnut. It has a backstrap on numerous bindings to help offset details and make them pop. It has a Cole style carved boat heel and Cole inspired inlays. It is a 25.5 scale length, 1 ¼” at the nut, 12” rim with Whyte Laydie tone ring. The tone is sparkly and clear with good bass. It has an ‘S’ shaped scoop from frets 17 to 19 allowing the thumb clearance without reducing the treble range. Aged brass hardware with EVO gold fret wire. The tone is nothing short of exceptional as expected from this fantastic luthier. In as-new condition with no fret wear. Includes gig bag.
