Vintage A/DA Flanger – Working with Known Power Cord Issue – Player’s Grade

Up for sale is a vintage A/DA Flanger that delivers the classic lush analog flanging these pedals are known for.

This is a player’s-grade example rather than a collector’s piece, and I’ve priced it accordingly. I want to be completely transparent about its condition so there are no surprises.

Condition

When powered, the pedal sounds excellent and delivers the classic vintage A/DA Flanger tone.

During my final test, I discovered that moving the attached power cord where it enters the housing can briefly interrupt power. Once the cord is returned to position, the pedal powers back up and operates normally.

The attached power cord appears to have been repaired by a previous owner. It is taped where it enters the housing, and it appears to have been secured internally with black silicone.

I removed the back panel to photograph the interior so buyers could see the previous repair. The rear panel hardware shows wear from prior disassembly, and at least one screw is stripped. Care should be taken if the unit is opened in the future.

The pedal has mismatched rubber feet.

Cosmetic wear consistent with the age of a vintage pedal.

Because of the intermittent power connection at the cord entry, I recommend that the next owner repair or replace the power cord before putting the pedal into regular use. Aside from that issue, the pedal produces the classic analog A/DA Flanger sound these vintage units are famous for.
