This one has been well cared for and barely played — played sparingly, and stored properly for the last several years. The mahogany neck and resonator, ebony fingerboard, and nickel-plated steel rim are all in excellent cosmetic condition.

It's equipped with a Pick-up the World (PUTW) transducer pickup — the same brand Deering itself recommends for this instrument, mounted under the head for a natural, feedback-resistant amplified tone. Plug into any acoustic amp, DI box, or PA and go.

Setup, adjustment, and intonation work was performed by Joe Glaser's team at Glaser Instruments in Nashville — one of the most respected repair shops in the industry, trusted by touring professionals. It's ready to play right out of the case. The pick-up install (as noted on the inside sticker) was 2007. The exact year the banjo was made is unknown.

One small note: the felt cushion at the neck heel (where the neck meets the pot) is missing on one side — cosmetic/functional only, an easy five-minute fix for any tech, and priced accordingly. Everything else is in excellent shape.
