Dr. Z Z-40 112 Combo - Blackout

Dr. Z Z-40 MKII 112 combo amplifier in blackout in excellent, near-new condition. Hand wired and built with Dr. Z’s legendary quality and high build standards. This amp sounds way bigger than it is thanks to a fairly large (but not too heavy) grab-and-go cabinet. Since it’s 40 watts, there is a lot of clean headroom on tap, but switching out the preamp tubes to 12AX7s can get it to break up a little sooner. With such an excellent master volume, tons of tones are on tap and available at lower volumes. As with many Z amps, the Z-40 also offers a fair amount of versatility; it’s capable of achieving crystal cleans to twangy country breakup, and even into early ZZ Top grind and heavier classic rock.
