Focusrite Red 3 Dual Compressor / Limiter

Not much needs saying about a Red 3. Focusrite made it, people loved it, they eventually shifted focus to consumer gear and the Red 3 is, to the frustration of many engineers, no longer made. Chris Lord-Alge keeps one on his mix bus to this day, and Tom Lord-Alge called the effect "kissing the Red." Discrete Focusrite VCA, class A sidechain with true independent compression and limiting, transformer balanced outputs that reward being pushed. It stays natural under heavy gain reduction in a way very few VCA boxes do.

This one is in excellent working condition, both channels healthy and quiet. Cosmetically there's some rack rash on a couple of the mount points and a few scratches on the faceplate, all shown in the photos. Studio racked, never gigged.

Studios tend to hang onto these and for good reason. This one will be professionally packed and shipped insured.
