Vintage 1970s Ludwig 6"+8" Concert Toms — Blue/Olive Badge Era

A genuine pair of vintage 1970s Ludwig concert toms from the iconic Blue/Olive badge era. These date to the late 1970s (approximately 1977-1979) based on the BO2 badge style and serial number 1852359. Made in the USA at Ludwig's classic Chicago production era — the sound and character that defined a generation of drummers.

• Original Ludwig Octaplus double-tom mount plate (attached to shells)
• Ludwig Atlas snare-style stand (holds both toms in ready-to-play configuration)
• Evans EC2 heads (currently mounted)

Provenance & Era:

• Blue/Olive BO2 badge (with ® trademark symbol, pointy corners) — produced approximately mid-1972 through 1981
• Serial Number: 1852359
• Dark Blue Cortex finish — Ludwig's period-correct wrap finish that reads dark navy blue in daylight with subtle purple undertones, appearing near-black under indoor lighting
• All original Ludwig hardware (lugs, hoops, tension rods, Octaplus mount, badges)

Condition — Very Good:

• Both shells structurally sound with no cracks, no water damage
• Wood interior clean and preserved
• Both Blue/Olive badges intact and clearly readable
• Dark Blue Cortex wrap preserved with minor age-appropriate wear
• Chrome hardware has minor patina consistent with 45+ years of age, no major rust or pitting
• Evans EC2 heads currently mounted (not original — original vintage heads were replaced at some point)
• Ludwig Atlas stand fully functional

Honest Disclosure:
One bottom-side lug nut is missing on one of the toms. The Octaplus double-tom mount plate remains fully functional and the pair mounts securely on the Atlas stand. Nut can be sourced from vintage Ludwig parts specialists if the new owner wishes to fully complete the hardware, but the set has been kept in original condition rather than replaced with non-period-correct modern hardware.

Home use only in the current owner's collection — stored in climate-controlled, non-smoking home.

Sold as described. Ships packed safely — hardware removed and packed separately, drums individually wrapped in bubble wrap inside sturdy boxes. UPS with tracking and receipt.
