Here we have a really cool transformer box with a a pair of large iron audio transformers. Ideal for adding some transformer colour and in a mastering chain. Based around the classic British Marinair, Carnhill transformers as used by Neve found in many pro audio units

A 600 ohm 1:1 balanced unit with output attenuation which allows to drive the transformers for colour, harmonics and tone. Being a very high level design they are less prone to over saturation which is ideal for mastering

• Full balanced XLR inputs and outputs
• Ground lift switch on line output
• Small compact metal enclosure
• Now fitted with hard bypass switches to A/B on the go

Hand built and hand wired in England, fully bench tested and sounding as you would expect.

Tests include frequency response, audio matching, attenuation and phase with transformers in and out of circuit
