Tom Scholz Power Soak in great condition.
The Tom Scholz Power Soak is a guitar amplifier attenuator designed in the late 70's by the founder of the band, Boston. It allows guitarists to crank their tube amplifiers for natural saturation and distortion while keeping the volume at manageable rehearsal or studio levels. Invented by Scholz (an MIT graduate) during the recording of Boston's debut album, the Power Soak was one of the first commercially successful and reliable devices of its kind. Instead of relying on a simple dummy load, Scholz included a master volume selector, which gave players unprecedented control over their output.
