Based on the best-selling Footprint01, the Barefoot Sound Footprint02 studio monitors utilizes the same cutting-edge technology as its predecessor to deliver Barefoot’s signature sound in an even more compact and affordable package. With an active 3-way design and dual 200-Watt Class D amplifiers, these powerful near field speakers combine stunning sound quality with a wide dynamic range and smooth bass extension.

FOUR-DRIVER DESIGN

Equipped with four compact, yet powerful drivers, the Footprint02 utilizes an an active 3-way design to deliver even, balanced sound from 42 Hz - 45 kHz. Two 6.5-inch paper cone subwoofers utilize Barefoot’s patented Dual-Force technology to eliminate cabinet vibrations and reduce unwanted distortion. A 4-inch aluminum cone driver delivers a focused detailed midrange, while the 1-inch dual ring radiating tweeter offers silky-smooth highs with an extremely wide sweet spot all the way up to 45 kHz.

PERFECTLY BALANCED CROSSOVERS

The Footprint02 houses a cutting-edge two-way DSP crossover, which feeds dual 200-Watt Class D amplifiers, and a passive crossover network between the midrange driver and the tweeter for a clean, balanced sound. Much like the Footprint01, the Footprint02 features the same instantly recognizable front baffle speaker configuration with the tweeter positioned below the midrange woofer. With side-mounted dual opposing paper cone subwoofers, dual ring radiator tweeter and aluminum cone midrange driver housed in a sleek cabinet with rounded corners and edges, the Footprint02 looks as good as it sounds.

MEME TECHNOLOGY

All Barefoot Sound reference monitors are equipped with Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation, or MEME technology, which uses sophisticated DSP processing to emulate the sound of a wide range of classic studio monitors. Quickly reference your tracks on three additional monitor profiles and ensure your mixes will translate to any environment.

“Old School” mode emulates the sound of the iconic Yamaha NS10M monitors, with an edgy, midrange-forward sound. The “Cube” setting is modeled after the legendary Auratone Sound Cube, giving your mixes a boxy lo-fi sound. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the “Hi-Fi” setting emulates the sound of consumer hi-fi systems with a sweet high-end and warm midrange. And of course, the “flat” setting delivers the signature Barefoot sound that engineers, producers, and musicians around the world have grown to know and love.
