Hora M1087-EQ Brown Octave Mandolin – Solid Wood – Made in Romania

The Hora M1087-EQ is a beautifully crafted octave mandolin that combines traditional European craftsmanship with modern stage-ready electronics. Handcrafted in Romania, this model features a solid spruce top, solid maple back, maple sides, and a maple neck for a rich, resonant voice with excellent projection.

Unlike the standard M1087, the EQ version comes equipped with an Artec FSE3 active pickup system, making it ideal for live performance, recording, and amplified acoustic setups. The onboard preamp includes a 3-band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble), volume control, low-battery indicator, and a 1/4" output jack, giving you complete control over your amplified tone.

Tuned one octave below a standard mandolin (G-D-A-E), the M1087-EQ delivers the deep, warm sound that has made octave mandolins a favorite for Celtic, Irish, folk, bluegrass, and contemporary acoustic music.
